Peru: América Móvil’s Claro confirms purchase of OLO

Mexican multinational América Móvil – owner of Peru’s Claro telecommunications operator – announced it has reached an agreement with local rival Olo to purchase 100% of the company’s shares.

    The announcement, sent to Mexico’s stock exchange, makes clear that the purchase will go through once “certain commonplace conditions for this type of operation” have been met, including in this case the authorization from Peru’s competition regulators.

    América Móvil did not disclose any details regarding the scale or estimated value of their purchase of Olo.
