The National Association of Fishing Shipowners officially notified the Indecopi Commission of Free Competition against the companies associated with the National Fisheries Society for the alleged price agreement on the payment of the ton of anchovy.
Among the fishing companies denounced are Hayduk; Food Technology; Pesquera Diamante; Austral Group; CGF Investment; Copeinca and Exalmar, which questions the association’s advisor, Cristóbal Sandoval, have been making payments from the April 2009 season to the current one.
“We fishermen pressed hard for this first season to be approved. It’s unfair that we be paid prices even below the 2016 season.” said Fidel Periche, chairman of the Sechura Bay Multisectoral Committee.
