Transport and Communications Minister José Gallardo joined Virgin Mobile Peru’s CEO to celebrate the company’s arrival. The British company has a growing presence among Peru’s Latin American trading partners, including Chile, Colombia and Mexico.

The company will face competition from four well-established operators – Spain’s Telefónica, Mexico’s Claro, Chile’s Entel and Vietnamese operator Bitel.
