What do we learn from PYMNTS’ latest Provider Ranking of Aggregators?
It’s instructive as to the dining habits we form, especially around who delivers that burrito bowl or veggie taco. People like what they like, and those preferences are spelled out in the numbers.
The Top 5
Nary a change in this ranking update, where DoorDash still reigns at No. 1.
And so it goes right down the line. Uber Eats remains at No. 2.
Popular Just Eat stands at No. 3, just eating, or at least enabling eating.
Because eating isn’t only about restaurant food, Instacart is a top-five regular and holds its place at No. 4.
India’s Zomato app closes out the top five once again.
The Top 10
Is this a change? It is, as the Deliveroo app rises one spot to take No. 6.
One app’s gain is often at the expense of another, as Swiggy drops one chart position to No. 7 (it was at No. 6 last month).
No change at No. 8 as the on-demand courier service Glovo holds its spot for another month.
SkipTheDishes sticks at No. 9. No change here either.
Taking us out of the top 10 at No. 10 once again is Grubhub.
And that’s a wrap (preferably a chicken Caesar wrap, but it’s all about choices).
