Choice Bank, an international bank serving the commercial banking and card service space, offers prepaid cards in upwards of 45 global currencies. Now, Hyperwallet will make its prepaid card services available to clients in a range of new currencies, including Mexican peso (MXN), Australian dollar (AUD) and Japanese yen (JPY). Hyperwallet may eventually add more currency options as it brings on more international clients.

“Whether they’re paying an app developer in Sydney or a business consultant in Tokyo, many businesses today need to distribute earnings to payees all around the world,” said Brent Warrington, Hyperwallet’s CEO. “Prepaid cards deliver those earnings in real time, giving payees immediate access to their money. In this increasingly global economy, rapid and convenient payout options are an absolute necessity.”

Hyperwallet recently announced that it would add prepaid card functionality to its REST suite of payout APIs later this year.
