According to reports, old versions of Android are still vulnerable to the bug.
Weeks after the Heartbleed bug, Mashable is now reporting that many older versions on Android smartphones are still vulnerable to hacking attacks.
The Android version 4.1.1, that was released in 2012, still carries the Heartbleed flaw. And even though Google has “applied patches to key Google services,” according to the company, individual wireless carriers and handset makers still need to push out the fix.
Michael Shaulov, chief executive officer and co-founder of Lacoon Mobile Security says that this can be a very long process. So to create an even greater sense of urgency, the company produced a video showing what an attack against the devices would look like.
