E-Commerce platform WooCommerce has added LevelUp as a mobile payment option to cut merchants’ payment processing costs, the companies said in a news release.
WooCommerce merchants who use the LevelUp integration will be able to accept LevelUp payments and pay a 1.95 percent processing rate for transactions, along with the ability to run a suite of revenue-driving marketing campaigns. LevelUp is available as a free add-on during a three-month launch promotion; after that, purchasing the integration will cost $79.
To pay for a purchase, a customer enters a LevelUp email address and receives a request for confirmation on his mobile device. Once confirmed, the customer’s LevelUp account is connected to the merchant for checkout. The account information can be saved by the merchant to allow for faster future checkouts. However, customers also have the ability to remotely deauthenticate each merchant’s access to their account, increasing security.
Customers also have the option to do a “Quick Checkout” with LevelUp to save time by logging in with LevelUp first.
WooCommerce is an ecommerce add-on for WordPress-driven websites and is used on more than 380,000 sites. LevelUp is accepted at ecommerce sites and at more than 14,000 brick-and-mortar stores.
