Buy now, pay later (BNPL) firm Klarna has joined forces with omnichannel health and wellness retailer The Vitamin Shoppe to offer Klarna’s installment payment options at checkout, according to a Thursday (Oct. 14) press release.
As part of the arrangement, customers of The Vitamin Shoppe can opt for Klarna’s interest-free, Pay in 4 option via vitaminshoppe.com, in store and on Klarna apps, according to the announcement.
“We’re excited to bring Klarna’s flexible payment options to The Vitamin Shoppe consumers worldwide, and to offer increased access to products that enhance well-being to Klarna’s 20 million customers in North America,” David Sykes, Klarna head of North America, said in the announcement. “Klarna’s new 2021 Holidays Unwrapped Report found that the majority of Gen Z (75%), Millennial (76%) and Gen X (60%) shoppers seek out payment options, like ours, at checkout.”
Since the Swedish FinTech company’s founding in 2005, Klarna has amassed more than 90 million customers and more than 250,000 retail partners globally, according to the release. The Vitamin Shoppe is the latest retailer to join Klarna’s U.S. retail partner network, which has grown to more than 10,000 retailers in recent months with new additions, including Charlotte Tilbury, Bed Bath & Beyond, The Honest Company and Olaplex, among others.
