As payments innovators begin to take a look at how to improve B2B payments, some are focusing on particular demographics of businesses, with an understanding that not every business or industry will handle payments the same.
IntegraPay is one of these companies. The Australia-based payments processing firm revealed late last week that it will be collaborating with simPRO in an effort to ease the payments process for field technicians in particular.
Together, the firms are launching simPRO Payments to allow these technicians to issue invoices to their customers on the spot, a tool geared towards businesses whose workers are in the field and don’t want to wait until they’re back at headquarters to create the bill.
The solution allows these professionals to provide an itemized invoice and collect payment while still at the site of the job.
“Helping trade contractors and field service businesses succeed is what simPRO is all about; providing a means to allow contracting businesses to improve their cash flow can help them run a successful business,” offered The simPRO Group CEO Brad Couper in a statement. “So, when we decided to build in the ability to collect payments in multiple parts of the simPRO operational software, we chose IntegraPay to be our partner.”
He added that IntegraPay provides the “technical backbone” to handle the payments side of this venture, including compliance.
Separately, IntegraPay CEO Chris Urry said the solution is aimed at helping businesses ease friction in collecting payment. “Supporting our partners to make it easy for their clients to accept payments is why we are here,” he stated. “Our ultimate goal is to see businesses succeed, and getting paid faster is an important step to achieving this.”
This isn’t the first time FinTech players have worked on fixing payments for contract workers. Last year, Payable announced a $2 million funding round for its tool that provides a payments platform to help contractors manage invoices and accounts receivable.
