Quadient has integrated its accounts payable (AP) solution with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
This integration of Quadient’s AP automation cloud solution will help businesses streamline their AP processes, Quadient said in a Tuesday (Dec. 20) press release.
Companies in North America, the United Kingdom and Ireland that use Business Central on premises as their enterprise resource planning (ERP) system can add the new integration with Quadient Accounts Payable Automation by Beanworks to reduce the time they spend on manual data entry and more quickly code and approve invoices, according to the release.
“Even with a great ERP like Business Central, you have several tasks that take two or three minutes. That may not seem consequential in a vacuum, but when you multiply it hundreds of time over, you see why so many accounting teams struggle to make time for more analytical, impactful work,” Yash Boosharya, vice president of product management of AP automation at France-based Quadient, said in the release. “We’re excited to be able to help resolve those issues for so many accounting teams through this partnership.”
Some key features of the integration include unlimited approval channels for automated routing, auto capture to populate invoice header details and dollar amounts, and the ability to sync data between systems on a custom schedule or on demand, according to the press release.
This new development is the latest of several integrations of Quadient AP Automation with leading ERP software. For example, the firm recently announced enhancements to its integration with NetSuite, the release said.
PYMNTS research has found that with so many FinTech options available to handle AP, there’s little patience for payables frictions that yield to the right solution.
Companies that see growth outpacing capacity as AP volumes increase were overwhelmingly in favor of system upgrades and modernization to handle it, according to “High Volume Accounts Payable: Achieving Long-Term Growth Through Automation,” a PYMNTS and Routable collaboration.
“The larger the number of payouts a firm manages, the more likely it is that the firm will recognize the necessity of increasing its capacity to manage its payables volume,” the report said, noting that 67% of firms processing a minimum of 2,500 payables monthly say automated systems are “very” or “extremely” important to increasing the number of payables.
