Zuora and Avalara have announced an expanded partnership to provide a comprehensive eInvoicing solution.
This partnership aims to help companies meet the eInvoicing mandates and digital reporting requirements that countries around the world are adopting, the companies said in a Wednesday (Nov. 15) press release.
The integrated eInvoicing solution from Avalara will be available through Zuora starting in early 2024, according to the release.
Compliance with eInvoicing and reporting regulations can be complex and costly, as timelines and regulations vary by country, the release said. The expanded partnership between Zuora and Avalara will equip businesses with an integrated solution to meet these requirements effectively.
Zuora, a monetization suite for modern businesses, will offer its customers access to Avalara E-Invoicing and Live Reporting, per the release. This will enable businesses to set up global eInvoicing capabilities, connect to eInvoice exchange networks and government platforms, and support eInvoicing models specific to each country or region.
The company’s monetization suite for modern businesses enables companies to unlock and grow customer-centric business models, according to the press release. More than 1,000 companies across various industries use the company’s technology.
“Zuora’s partnership with Avalara arms modern businesses with the technology necessary today to pursue recurring growth on a global scale,” Balaji Subramanian, vice president of global partner ecosystem at Zuora, said in the release.
Avalara, a certified and accredited Peppol service provider, brings extensive experience in tax compliance automation to the partnership, per the release. Its tax compliance automation software solutions are used by over 30,000 businesses and government customers in more than 90 countries.
“Today’s announcement enables Zuora customers to meet evolving requirements with Avalara’s leading eInvoicing technology. Together, we’re empowering companies to expand globally while mitigating compliance barriers to entry,” Meg Higgins, senior vice president of global partners at Avalara, said in the release.
The Avalara E-Invoicing and Live Reporting tool was rolled out in May, with the company saying it aims to help multinational businesses streamline their compliance with eInvoicing mandates.
At that time, more than 60 countries had announced or already had mandates for eInvoicing, and that number could more than double by 2030, Avalara said.
