Brazilian financial and eCommerce platform Inter&Co has joined the Amazon Payment Service Provider (PSP) Program.
Inter&Co offers Brazilian users access to a wide range of services on its platform, including banking, investments, credit, insurance, shopping and remittance-related services.
In a press release on Tuesday (Nov. 29), the company revealed details about its new Amazon partner status, stating that, as an Amazon-approved payments provider, Inter&Co’s clients can receive and send payments directly to their Inter&Co accounts.
“Becoming a certified provider with Amazon is an important milestone for Inter as we continue supporting our commitment of making our clients’ lives easier and helping them achieve their financial goals,” said Aloisio Matos, Inter&Co’s head of cross-border operations.
Amazon started the global PSP program in March 2021 as a way to grow eCommerce and give its sellers the ability to track and prevent potential fraud while also protecting its customers.
By adding Inter&Co as the 28th company under its PSP Program, Amazon is making sure its eCommerce business remains consistent across borders as well as giving the growing super app company further accreditation.
“Brazil is among the fastest-growing countries globally in terms of eCommerce and the rapid adoption of digital payments, creating a great market opportunity for Inter. Our presence in both U.S. and Brazil uniquely positions us to serve Brazilian Amazon sellers with innovation and quality,” said Matos.
