Hilton Hotels, a hotel operator, announced Tuesday (Sept. 19) that Hilton Honors loyalty rewards members will now be able to redeem their Hilton Honors rewards points on Amazon.com.
In a press release, Hilton said the program has 66 million members and also announced it is the first hotel operator to offer customers the ability to redeem rewards points through Amazon.
“At Hilton, we are always looking for ways to deliver unique experiences to customers,” said Mark Weinstein, Hilton’s senior vice president and global head of customer engagement, loyalty and partnerships, in the press release. “By teaming up with Amazon, we are able to offer our Hilton Honors members yet another choice in how they redeem their Hilton Honors Points. Amazon Shop with Points gives our members greater flexibility with their Points and the chance to offer more of what matters most to our Hilton Honors members.”
This new benefit is free to use and available to all eligible Hilton Honors members. To begin shopping, Amazon members must complete a one-time link of their Hilton Honors accounts to their Amazon.com accounts. Once completed, Hilton Honors members can choose the amount of Points they wish to use when paying for their purchase at Amazon.com.
“Amazon Shop with Points provides customers the convenience to use their favorite rewards points to shop for millions of items at Amazon.com,” said David Williams, vice president of Amazon payment products, in the same press release. “We are excited that customers can now use yet another one of their favorite rewards programs — Hilton Honors — to shop at Amazon.com. Amazon continuously strives to delight our customers with new paying experiences, and we are pleased to launch this new program with Hilton Honors.”
The deal with Amazon is the fourth new benefit the hotel operator has launched for Hilton Honors. With the loyalty program, the company is looking to create relevant and meaningful rewards for all of its guests.
