Workforce payment platform Branch has partnered with Jimmy John’s to help provide faster payments, a press release says.
Branch will streamline payments of tips to workers and other fee-free financial services, enabling digital payments for tips and mileage reimbursements.
This all comes as the pandemic has shifted payments away from cash and towards the digital economy.
By partnering with Jimmy John’s PDQ POS system, owners and managers don’t have to make lots of trips to get more cash or delay tip payments because there’s no cash available.
Employees will have access to funds and will be able to spend with the Branch debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or by transferring to other accounts.
“Across franchises and locations, Jimmy John’s teams are consistently known for their fast, reliable delivery experience,” said Jeremy Langness, director of partnerships at Branch. “We’re thrilled to partner with franchises to extend that same speed and consistency to their own workforce by providing fast, flexible payments and other compelling personal finance tools to employees.”
Franchises will also be able to provide other helpful cash flow management tools for employees through Branch, which could include a fee-free banking option, instant earned wage access, cash flow overview and personalized spending and deposit insights.
Last August Branch got over $540 million in Series B fundraising, which will be used to help the company build its platform.
