Looking for a new way to manage cyptocurrency? You’ve come to the right place.
This month, PYMNTS launches its Provider Rankings of Cryptocurrency Wallets. Like the other sets of rankings, this one scores market contenders based on factors that include downloads, number of active users each month, average session length, and iOS Store and Google Play. And, like the others, it will be updated monthly.
There are plenty of choices to evaluate as our Top 10 includes 17 contenders — there are lots of ties, so the competition is fierce. Let’s see who’s in the inaugural list.
The Top 5
In the top spot, there’s a three-way tie. The leaders — each achieving a score of 100 — include Binance, Coinbase — Bitcoin Wallet and Crypto.com.
Another three contenders have achieved placement in the No. 2 spot. Here, we have Blockchain.com Wallet, Gemini: Buy Bitcoin Instantly and Trust — Crypto and Bitcoin Wallet.
Following close behind and ranked third are three more players: Bitcoin Wallet, SafePal — Crypto Wallet and Wirex Card and Multicurrency Crypto Wallet.
As we reach the No. 4 spot, the field starts to thin out a bit. Two contenders have secured this ranking: Abra: Bitcoin and Crypto Wallet and BitPay.
Rounding out the top five is Strike: Send and Spend Bitcoin.
The Top 10
The field continues to narrow as we have just one cryptocurrency wallet in each of the remaining levels of the Top 10.
Grabbing the sixth ranking is Bakkt: Bitcoin, Rewards and More.
Close behind at No. 7 we have Blue Wallet.
Ranked eighth among this elite group is Mycelium Bitcoin Wallet.
Earning a spot at No. 9, we have ZenGo Crypto and Bitcoin Wallet: Buy, Earn and Trade.
And rounding out the Top 10 in this inaugural ranking is Unocoin.
As you can see, the competition was fierce in this first PYMNTS Provider Rankings of Cryptocurrency Wallets. Tune in next month to see how the race plays out and what new contenders and services join this elite group.
