Smart parking and mobility solution firm ParkMobile App hit new records for user growth, transaction volume and revenue, with 30 million new users onboarding during an expansion effort into hundreds of additional locations, according to a press release on Tuesday (Dec. 14).

New users were increased by more than 130% over last year, and the company quickly grew its availability across North America, launching over 200 new locations over the past 12 months. ParkMobile was acquired by EasyPark Group in June.

Founded in 2008, ParkMobile acquired its first million customers by 2013 and then went on to add a million new users every 30 days. The company has processed more than 465 million transactions totaling 75 billion minutes of parking time since launching. August through December of this year, ParkMobile processed more than 10.6 million parking transactions monthly.

This past year, ParkMobile rolled out new contactless payments products following the launch of an app with a guest checkout that allows users to sidestep downloading the full app and establishing an account. The company also facilitated easier account creation by integrating sign-on with Google or Apple credentials and payments via GooglePay.

During this year, ParkMobile also launched in more than 200 new locations, including Sea Isle City, New Jersey; Elizabeth, New Jersey; Estes Park, Colorado; Lawrence, Kansas; Redondo Beach, California; and other locations.

The company also is available at several colleges and universities — Colorado State University, Vanderbilt University, and the University of California, Davis, and Santa Barbara campuses. ParkMobile also launched its first location in Puerto Rico at the Distrito T-Mobile entertainment district.

“2021 has been amazing for the business as we’ve rebounded from the last year, and we’re growing fast once again,” says Jeff Perkins, CEO of ParkMobile. “The adversity we’ve experienced over the past two years has made us stronger as an organization, and I am so proud of this team and everything we have accomplished. The future of ParkMobile is very bright.”
