When it comes to insurance, it’s good to have all the bases covered. PYMNTS’ latest Provider Ranking of Insurance Apps has done just that by enlisting 13 apps for this month’s top 10. It’s good to have three extras, just in case they’re needed.
Some tie scores and shared positions in the rankings have made room for the additional apps. Other news this month includes a leader returning with a perfect score of 100, quite a bit of shifting of positions in the rankings and one newcomer to the list earning the No. 10 spot.
The Top 5
First up is GEICO Mobile — Car Insurance. Like last month, it’s at the top of the list with a score of 100.
Close behind with a score of 98 is Progressive. After sharing the top spot last time, it has shed two points from its score and dropped one level in the rankings.
Two apps share the No. 3 position with a score of 91. Allstate Mobile was here last month, while State Farm has stepped down one level since last time.
There’s another tie at No. 4. With a score of 82, Liberty Mutual Mobile has gained two positions in the rankings, while Jerry: Car Insurance was here last month.
Holding the fifth spot in the rankings as it did last time is USAA Mobile. This app checks in with a score of 77.
The Top 10
Moving up one position to No. 6 is Safeco Mobile. This app earns a score of 71.
Just one point behind with a score of 70 is Lemonade Insurance. This app, too, has moved up a step since last time and now rests at seventh.
Four points behind that is Esurance Mobile. With a score of 66, this app has gained two positions in the rankings since last month.
Two apps share the No. 9 spot with a score of 63. Farmers Insurance Mobile has moved up a step, while Travelers Mobile was here last time.
Rounding out this month’s top 10 is an app that’s new to the list this month — say hello to American Family Insurance. This app joins the elite group with a score of 58 and closes out this month’s Provider Ranking of Insurance Apps.
