EMV and mPOS
mPOS is catching up with EMV, with most players upgrading and releasing devices to read chip cards. Mobile POS provider Square will begin shipping its EMV and contactless chip card readers in December. In this edition, we highlight product upgrades and new launches.
Tracker Updates
Despite Amazon’s withdrawal, the mPOS landscape continues to expand. We added five new players to the mPOS tracker family: ASB Accept mPOS, iCompass, MobiMagic, Moneris PAYD and TechnoLabs. Profiles of 13 existing players were updated based on partnerships and other announcements. iZettle’s score changed after updating its profile to add geographies and more. AnywhereCommerce, CardFlight, ConCardis, goSwiff, Infinite Peripherals, payleven, Powa Technologies, SoftPay, Square, SumUp, Surefire Systems and Swish were updated to reflect the new things that they are doing.
