The rise of the cloud in enterprise functions has been fueled by the ability of movement. The enterprise can now access data and conduct business from anywhere, no longer tied to a desktop computer and in-house software.

As a B2B cloud services provider, NetSuite has recently acted on this concept of mobility. Earlier this year the company launched its mobile application, a cloud-based business management tool that links users to an array of corporate services, like CRM, expense management and document support.

Now, NetSuite is expanding its support of the mobile business by enhancing international capabilities. The company issued an announcement on Monday (Dec. 7) revealing new features for its NetSuite OneWorld platform aimed at supporting the cross-border, international needs of business users.

The upgrades mean NetSuite is now supported across more than 100 countries, with tax compliance capabilities in these jurisdictions, and configurability in more than 190 currencies, the company said.

According to the firm, businesses looking to expand internationally, whether it be through M&A or a desire to enter into a new market, can be held back by cloud software systems that depend on location or corporate department.

NetSuite Senior VP of Enterprise and International Products Craig Sullivan said in a statement that the upgrades help to “innovate and expand the reach of our customers with new features that allow global businesses to expand their operations and adapt rapidly on a business platform for the future.”

Specific capabilities include support for multi-payment methods via the NetSuite SuitePayments Program. According to the company, it has inked partnerships with 10 ePayment providers, easing cross-border payments friction across an array of technologies, including bank transfers and gift cards.

The platform also automates accounting and transaction processes to comply with local standards and reporting requirements. The upgrades additionally include multi-currency management to automate exchange rates, tax compliance support, multi-location inventory management and the ability to manage vendors and customers across markets.

The solution supports multiple languages and is compatible for an array of mobile devices, including Apple and Android support, the company noted.
