Globality said that its “Strategic Services Connector” extensions for SAP Ariba Buying and Invoicing, in addition to SAP® Ariba® Contracts, are accessible through the online marketplace for SAP partner products called the SAP App Center, according to a Monday (Dec. 14) announcement.
Globality Chief Revenue Officer Keith Hausmann said in the announcement that the company’s Global 2000 clients are often companies harnessing SAP Ariba offerings that wish to reshape how they handle complex services sourcing throughout each of their strategic spend areas.
“With this built-for-purpose solution now available on SAP App Center, we are providing a channel for these customers to improve quality, accelerate speed to market, enable supplier diversity and inclusion, and increase the average savings rate by 50 percent or more,” Hausmann said in the announcement.
By digitizing the demand creation, vendor identification, tendering, proposal consideration and statement of work creation flow with a self-service interface, Globality says its platform reshapes the sourcing of high-value and intricate services.
Users can quickly determine the project scope via Globality’s artificial intelligence (AI) engine by utilizing natural language processing that expediently discovers their intent. Requirements are instantaneously coordinated with preferred vendors and “qualified alternatives” from the Globality network, according to the announcement.
Those who harness the system can then evaluate and contrast proposals with others on their team and provide the business to the vendor showing the “most merit.” In the SAP Ariba Sourcing technology with Globality’s Strategic Services Connector extensions, users have the ability to source vendors on the Globality infrastructure and make new contracts or purchase requisitions without intervention.
Globality received $100 million from the SoftBank Vision Fund in January of 2019, bringing its overall investment to $172 million since its launch five years ago.
In separate news, Zilliant, which is involved in B2B price optimization, sales guidance and price management technology, is teaming with SAP to help distributors get the most out of pricing and client experiences.
