FourKites added a new Inbound Visibility solution to its supply chain visibility platform.
The solution aims to enhance end-to-end, shipment– and order-level insights across suppliers, offering customers a predictive and accurate way to manage inbound orders and shipments across various modes of transportation, FourKites said in a Thursday (Nov. 9) press release.
Companies often face challenges related to inbound shipment visibility, according to the release. Outdated information, delayed updates and manual processes can result in wasted resources, costly expedites and disappointed customers.
FourKites’ Inbound Visibility solution addresses these issues by using real-time data analysis throughout the freight journey to allow companies to manage all inbound shipments and orders, the release said. By tracking shipments before they are even tendered, users can access actionable data at each stage of an order’s lifecycle. This early visibility enables companies to identify potential delays or short-filled orders up to four weeks before delivery, giving them time to take necessary actions.
One feature of FourKites’ Inbound Visibility solution is its ability to assign a dollar amount to any disruptions detected, per the release. The feature helps teams prioritize their actions based on the business impact of each disruption, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively.
“Our Inbound Visibility solution is a high-impact innovation to tackle one of the most complex, enduring challenges in the industry,” FourKites Chief Product Officer Priya Rajagopalan said in the release. “As the only real-time visibility provider that offers true order lifecycle visibility, starting before a shipment is even tendered to the carrier, we are uniquely positioned to connect the dots at the order level all the way across the supply chain, giving each stakeholder the information they need to take action and creating even greater value for our customers.”
Customers can access the Inbound Visibility solution through FourKites’ My Workspace, a dashboard that displays connected insights from across the FourKites product suite, according to the release.
