Chinese cuisine restaurant P.F. Chang’s announced it is testing beer and wine delivery with DoorDash at 12 locations in select California markets.
Guests at least 21 years of age will be able to choose from more than 15 varieties of domestic, import and craft beers, including Kirin Lager, as well as more than 40 varieties of wine, including Mark West Pinot Noir and Estancia Pinot Grigio, to add to their order when placing it via DoorDash.
“In addition to our full food menu, including our famous lettuce wraps, sushi and variety of beef, chicken and seafood dishes, we’re excited to bring our complete bottled beer and wine menu to our DoorDash delivery customers,” said Dwayne Chambers, P.F. Chang’s chief marketing officer. “We have partnered with our friends at Constellation Brands to feature Mark West Pinot Noir and Estancia Pinot Grigio, as well as Anheuser Busch to feature Kirin Lager, as some of our recommended beer and wine delivery options.”
To place an order, simply log on to P.F. Chang’s on the DoorDash app or site. Guests must also present a valid government-issued photo ID at time of delivery.
Participating P.F. Chang’s California restaurants include Anaheim, Burbank, Emeryville, Fremont, Irvine, La Jolla, Long Beach, Oakridge Mall in San Jose, Palo Alto, Pleasanton, Sunnyvale and Walnut Creek.
DoorDash launched a pilot program last year in San Diego, Orange County and Los Angeles to test out booze delivery in addition to its existing food delivery service. The feature gives users the option of adding beer or wine with their meal delivery from certain restaurants, but the company has also partnered with several breweries and liquor stores to offer growlers and bottles as a delivery option as well.
If successful in Southern California, DoorDash hopes to expand the service soon to other markets.
