Oro Inc. on Thursday (Feb. 10) launched OroCommerce 5.0, the newest version of its flagship eCommerce platform, which features new productivity, site performance and customer experience optimization tools, according to a company press release.
The company touts OroCommerce 5.0 as “the only open-source eCommerce solution purpose-built for B2B companies” in its announcement, saying the upgrades include improved speed and performance, order management, better search functionality, upgraded discovery tools for B2B buyers and universal accessibility, full integration with Microsoft Office 365 and robust security tools.
“We know that providing the best possible customer experience is mission-critical for B2B brands — and that’s why we made sure that OroCommerce 5.0 was packed with the features and tools that B2B buyers crave,” said Yoav Kutner, CEO at Oro, Inc., in the company announcement.
“With best-of-breed open source technologies and an unparalleled out-of-the-box feature set, we’re making B2B eCommerce faster, more powerful, and more customer-focused than ever before, and giving brands the tools they need to take their businesses to new heights in 2022,” he said.
Oro will host a live product update demo Thursday, March 3 at 8 a.m. PST, including an overview of new features, updates, use cases and a real-time Q&A session.

Also on Thursday (Feb. 10), eCommerce software platform BigCommerce acquired B2B Ninja, a company that provides merchants with B2B eCommerce capabilities.
BigCommerce, which helps companies build online stores, works with startups and small- to medium-sized companies to help them incorporate tools to improve online sales. B2B Ninja is available to any BigCommerce merchant on any plan.
