Retail employees rarely choose their workplaces based on the distant CEOs that might drop by the office once or twice out of the year, but when it comes to Kanye West and Adidas’ new Yeezy line of apparel and products, the allure of the bossman might be the best thing about the work.
There are 18 postings for opportunities in the athletic apparel brand’s new Yeezy line currently up for grabs on Adidas’ website. These include illustrious postings such as Senior Developer Apparel, Technical Manager Footwear, Senior Manager Public Relations and even Technical Manager Footwear — Pattern/Tooling. All positions are based at Adidas’ headquarters in Portland, Oregon.
“Kanye is a true creator who has the ability to see things others don’t,” Eric Liedtke, executive board member at Adidas in charge of global brands, said in a statement on the partnership with Yeezy. “We are excited and honored to build on this partnership and eagerly look forward to defining the future together.”
Sure, the job titles to transform the future of footwear alongside Kanye might not translate into great rap names, but it’s a start to be working with Yeezy in the first place, no?
