Real-time insight into connected devices is becoming more and more of a must-have than a standard nice-to-have feature for most technology companies today.
As such, malware prevention and remediation solution Malwarebytes announced this week its integration with Internet of Things (IoT) security company ForeScout Technologies. Through this strategic partnership, the companies hope to give customers a look into threat visibility and remediation for managed and unmanaged connected devices in real time.
With the various cyberattacks that occur on a daily basis, this integration is looking to expedite incident responses with a stop zero-day exploits effort. This new integrated offering proactively monitors for latent threats, analyzes global threat exposure impact and auto responds from the ForeScout CounterACT console. It utilizes Malwarebytes’ Breach Remediation and Endpoint Security to bi-directionally communicate with the ForeScout CounterACT console’s interface.
Malwarebytes’ VP of Business Development, Monty Venkersammy, commented on today’s visible cyberthreats and what this integration means: “Today’s threats are more destructive than ever, hitting organizations at an unprecedented velocity and sophistication — easily overwhelming and evading perimeter security defenses. Automatically identifying devices appearing on the network and understanding their contribution to the enterprise attack surface is vital to preventing malicious activity in a breach. This integration between Malwarebytes and ForeScout not only provides critical threat visibility but additionally the power to respond, delivering thorough investigation and remediation in real time.”
ForeScout Technologies’ Chief Strategy Officer, Pedro Abreu, also commented on this integration, saying, “As businesses continuously seek to improve their overall security, they unfortunately lack visibility into what is connecting to their network to truly know what’s happening across their environment, and how to swiftly remediate the threat. ForeScout is proud to help solve these security challenges for our end-customers by integrating ForeScout CounterACT with Malwarebytes’ Breach Remediation and Endpoint Security solutions.”
