Now National Football League fans in Jacksonville, Florida, can make faster payments for tickets, merchandise, food and more with a Jaguars’ new partnership.
Financial services company FIS announced Friday (Nov. 4) that it’s collaborating with the Jacksonville Jaguars to bring instant digital payments technology to TIAA Bank Field, the Jaguars’ stadium.
FIS has installed 600 point-of-sale terminals at TIAA Bank Field to give game attendees new digital payments options like tap to pay.
“When fans enter the stadium on gameday, our number one priority is to ensure they have memorable and best-in-class experiences,” said Mark Lamping, president of the Jacksonville Jaguars. “FIS has delivered on that promise at TIAA Bank Field with an impressive array of technologies that allow for fast purchases, so fans spend less time in line and more time watching the action on the field.”
According to the April PYMNTS 2022 Global Digital Shopping Playbook: U.S. Edition, 65% of U.S. merchants now allow customers to create cross-channel-capable digital profiles, expanding digital payments capabilities for consumers.
By adding digital payments capabilities to the stadium commerce experience, FIS and the Jacksonville Jaguars are innovating the way football fans pay for their experience at stadium events through digital instant payments.
FIS President Stephanie Ferris said of the partnership, “FIS and the Jaguars are working together to bring innovation and enhanced experiences to the region and these modernizations at TIAA Bank Field on game day represent a big step on that journey.”
