Women’s fashion retailer Bebe has seen its share of ups and downs over the past year. Just this past April, we reported the news that it was planning to close the remainder of its 180 brick-and-mortar retail locations.
Things may, however, be looking up for the brand.
In retail and eCommerce news, Global Brands Group Holding Limited has announced its partnership with the women’s fashion chain to relaunch it on an eCommerce platform and help redesign any current physical locations. These actions through this joint venture are an attempt to revitalize the brand to meet the needs of today’s tech-savvy consumers.
In addition to these efforts, Global Brands Holding Limited also has plans to relaunch Bebe’s direct-to-consumer division and its international operations.
Global Brands Group’s Bebe division president, Sandra Campos, commented on this new path and what it means for the brand. She said,”Bebe is an iconic fashion brand with a loyal, global following. We see a tremendous opportunity to relaunch a new eCommerce platform that best reflects who our global customer is and how she shops.”
