It’s going to get easier for customers to shop Poshmark and come quickly to the items they most want.
According to reports, the eTailer has launched six in-app user experiences designed to make category-based shopping easier. The experiences, called “Posh Markets,” allow Poshmark enthusiasts to zero in on their specific shopping interests. Focus areas for creating the right curated custom shopping experience include markets for men, women, kids, boutique, plus-sized and luxury.
The goal, according to the marketplace, is to make it easier for shoppers to get where they are going on the site more easily and efficiently. The new experiences are available on Poshmark’s iOS and Android apps.
The markets are aimed at streamlining the site, which features 75 million items as of today. The idea is that customers will be able to zoom in on the discovery zones that interest them more directly and that match up most naturally with their stylistic interests. The markets also give the firm a base from which to launch future efforts, and a template that will make navigating a wider swatch of Posh Markets a natural extension of an experience to which their customers are already accustomed. According to the firm, future Posh Markets could be themed around things like streetwear, home decor and beauty, among others.
“The launch of Posh Markets positions us for massive growth, allowing social commerce to penetrate all areas of eCommerce, taking on an even greater segment of the industry,” said Manish Chandra, founder and CEO of Poshmark. “Posh Markets takes social shopping to a new level, building community-driven merchandising engines around consumers’ style and interests — further scaling social commerce to all major fashion categories…”
