Panera Bread announced that its MyPanera+ Coffee Subscription is available for gifting, noting that it’s the first national restaurant firm to provide a limitless subscription for “premium hot drip coffee, iced coffee and hot tea,” according to a Monday (Nov. 23) announcement.
Consumers can provide a gift of three or two months of the bakery chain’s coffee subscription for a lower-than-usual price, which can be purchased beginning on Cyber Monday (Nov. 30).
“We are excited to provide our guests with this fun and unique gift option that is perfect for anyone on your list who needs a cup of optimism this time of year — whether it be neighbors, teachers, delivery workers or friends and family,” Panera Bread Chief Brand and Concept Officer Eduardo Luz said in the announcement.
Customers will be able to buy three months of coffee for $20 in addition to tax and two months of coffee for $15 in addition to tax. The subscription is normally available for $8.99 per month in addition to tax.
Customers can receive every flavor or size of hot drip coffee, hot tea and iced coffee with limitless refills in the bakery-café through the MyPanera+ Coffee Subscription.
The bakery chain’s drip and iced coffee offerings encompass the dark roast and light roast coffee blends, which are available as part of the coffee subscription in addition to hazelnut and decaf.
Customers can order coffee throughout the country in the bakery chain’s stores, mobile program or online shopping website. Those who are on the go can buy coffee through touch-free delivery, Panera Curbside and Rapid Pick-Up.
The news comes as Panera is bringing flatbread pizza onto its menu as demand for takeout and delivery spikes in tandem with the COVID-19 crisis.
There were 2,118 bakery-cafes in the United States and Canada running under the Panera Bread or Saint Louis Bread Co. banners as of Sept. 29, 2020.
