Beauty tech solutions provider Perfect Corp. on Tuesday (Aug. 24) announced a partnership with Avon México that will integrate augmented reality (AR) and artificial intelligence (AI) through facial analysis technology in its YouCam Makeup app for more personalized consumer shopping experiences.
Avon uses Perfect Corp’s AI and AR smart beauty technology as part of its digital shopping experience, including virtual try-on and shade matching for Avon PowerStay foundations, eye makeup and lip products and Avon’s Advanced Techniques hair color collection.
Virtual try-on is available to more than 400,000 Avon representatives across Mexico. Perfect Corp.’s digital try-ons use Agile Face technology to identify facial features, including eye and eyebrow shapes, then incorporate AR and AI smart technology to recommend beauty products, hair colors and makeup styles.
“By empowering the Avon sales force with this unique, interactive virtual try-on tool, we are able to deliver a more engaged and fulfilling consumer shopping experience, delivering an impactful personal touch to their online shopping journey,” said Alice Chang, Perfect Corp. founder and CEO, in the joint announcement.
“When we talk about Avon, we consider the thousands of enthusiastic men and women who have leadership and economic independence and have made the growth of the business possible,” said Mónica Domínguez, digital representative experience manager for Avon NoLA, in the joint announcement. “To continue with this trend, Avon offers digital tools focused on boosting their sales and extending their reach to a more digital audience to generate more customers through both traditional business and social media.”
