PayU has appointed Keren Ben Zvi as head of data of its global payment organization (GPO).
The online payment service provider said in a Wednesday (Dec. 7) press release that Ben Zvi would take the lead on further enhancing merchant insights and leveraging merchants’ payment data to support their business growth.
“Welcoming Keren to lead our data team and strategy is an exciting moment for PayU,” PayU GPO Chief Product Officer Daniel Cohen said in the release. “Her broad experience, strong technical background and deep knowledge have earned her a reputation as an agile and experienced data professional.”
Ben Zvi has 15 years of experience in data strategy and specializes in business analytics, machine learning and data architecture. She most recently served as vice president of data at global technology innovator Perion, according to the press release.
At PayU, Ben Zvi will focus on further bolstering the firm’s data capabilities to deliver more detailed insights that eCommerce retailers can use to better understand — and align their payment methods and process with — their customers’ needs and preferences, the release said.
“The payments landscape is constantly evolving, and data has become an increasingly important element of optimizing customer experiences,” Ben Zvi said in the release. “I’m delighted to be joining PayU, a business which has long been on the cutting edge of this trend and developing new data solutions to support the creation of a world without financial borders where everyone can prosper.”
PayU Global Payments CEO Mario Shiliashki told PYMNTS in a recent interview that in 2023 and beyond, the firm will stay focused on serving merchants globally and regionally, using a single integration to access a host of services.
“Extending capabilities is something that we will continue to invest in,” Shiliashki said in the interview posted Nov. 4. “That means all the relevant local payment methods, all the infrastructure that make our approval rates and our pricing best in class.”
