Although 131 million Americans live paycheck to paycheck, many say they plan to shop more in stores and spend more online when the pandemic ends. According to the Reality Check: The Paycheck-To-Paycheck Report, a PYMNTS and LendingClub collaboration that surveyed more than 2,200 shoppers, that could trigger the next post-pandemic spending surge.

  • 33 percent: Share of paycheck-to-paycheck consumers planning to increase trips to physical stores when the pandemic ends
