MLB, NFL Venues Digitize Concessions With Next-Gen Self-Service
Retail technology company Gallery Carts is teaming up with digital component manufacturer Falkbuilt to facilitate the building of grab-and-go kiosks for live event venues. MLB’s San Diego Padres’ Petco Park has already implemented the technology, and NFL’s Tennessee Titans’ Nissan Stadium and Las Vegas Raiders’ Allegiant Stadium will go live with it soon.
Pushpay Shares Soar on Acquisition Talks
Pushpay, a donor payments management system for charities, confirmed a potential acquisition is in the works following discussions with multiple buyers. Existing investors Australian private equity firm BGH Capital and U.S. investment manager Sixth Street Partners are collaborating to buy the firm, which is listed on both the New Zealand and Australia stock exchanges.

Alviere is partnering with Marqeta to bring expanded financial services to more businesses in Europe. Alviere will operate in Europe and the U.K. as an electronic money institution and principal member card issuer. With Marqeta, Alviere’s enterprise clients can issue branded cards to their customers. Alviere is in the midst of growing its footprint across Europe.
Paddle Seals Deal for $200M Acquisition of Subscription Retention Firm ProfitWell
Software-as-a-service (SaaS) payments infrastructure platform Paddle is acquiring subscription metrics and retention automation firm ProfitWell for $200 million in cash and equity. This is Paddle’s first acquisition, which is being funded from its $200 million Series D fundraise earlier this month.

Esaal, an online health and wellness consultation platform for patients in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), is using its $1.7 million in seed funding for geographic expansion, new product and brand development, and attracting talent.
