Canadians are seeing a boom in their economy for small businesses.
According to research released from the CIBC Capital Markets, there has been more growth in this sector now than in the past decade.
Here are the numbers:
42 percent | Percentage of job creation stemming from businesses with under 100 employees
12 percent | Increase in job creation from the 10 years prior to research measurement
350,000 | Number of new businesses created in 2016
9 percent | Percentage every province in Canada has grown
50 percent | Percentage of small to medium-sized businesses owned by baby boomers
